How do I add query parameters to my launch link for my app?

Hi! I’m trying to launch my app with a URL and I want to append parameters onto the URL so I can capture information about the user through the link when they click it. How do I go about adding these parameters and defining them so I can do that? Here’s where I got stuck:

Great Question and welcome!

What you can do is add a ‘?’ after your url and add your key-value pairs separated by an ‘&’. So in your example of the url:

https://mydemo.airkit.com

If you wanted to add a username and an id to as query parameters, it would look like this in the sample url:

https://mydemo.airkit.com?username=ismaen&id=123456

Then if you click on the play button under sample payload, you’ll see your key value pairs get populated under queryParams. From here, you can pass payload.queryParams to either the start parameters or the journey event payload and access your data from your query params from your app.

Does that answer your question?
